This article serves to answer frequently asked questions about the flow of Progress Monitoring and Intervention data from FastBridge to eduCLIMBER.
General
What system should a user start in to avoid double entry?
Start by setting up Progress Monitoring in FastBridge. Then you will be able to complete intervention setup in eduCLIMBER and the Progress Monitoring data will already be there for you.
If I select to set up the intervention in eduCLIMBER, does it also set up in FastBridge?
No, because the integration is from FastBridge to eduCLIMBER, it will not be set up automatically. Users can always create the intervention in FastBridge afterward. To take advantage of this integration, we recommend users start setup in FastBridge.
What should users enter as an Intervention Display Name?
We recommend naming the Intervention Display Name something unique, so that it will be easy to find as you continue intervention setup in eduCLIMBER. Your organization may have standard naming conventions for interventions. Typically, intervention names describe the intervention strategy, and a unique intervention group identifier for the interventionist such as the time of day and the interventionist’s initials. For example, Repeated Reading | 2:00 Group JB.
How long must I wait for my Progress Monitoring setup data in FastBridge to be sent to eduCLIMBER?
The Progress Monitoring data is sent to eduCLIMBER immediately when the user clicks Save on the FastBridge Progress Monitoring plan. So, you can (and we recommend that you) continue the intervention setup in eduCLIMBER right away.
What FastBridge Progress Monitoring information is automatically sent to eduCLIMBER?
- Students
- Assessment / Monitoring Type
- Skill Area
- Start and End Date
- Goals
- Intervention Display Name
Can I make changes to my intervention in eduCLIMBER? Will those changes get reflected in FastBridge?
As you go through the intervention setup in eduCLIMBER, you may make any changes you’d like. Just note that the changes made in eduCLIMBER do not flow back to FastBridge.
Where should I make changes to my Progress Monitoring plan? Where should I make changes to my intervention?
Currently, there is no editing integration between FastBridge and eduCLIMBER, so changes to Progress Monitoring plans should be made in both FastBridge AND eduCLIMBER.
Changes to interventions can be made in eduCLIMBER only. However, if you would like to see intervention changes, such as intervention strategy changes, on the FastBridge Progress Monitoring graph, you must also make that change in FastBridge.
Can I still use the Progress Monitoring Report in FastBridge?
Yes, you may. Because data does not flow back from eduCLIMBER to FastBridge, you will need to enter your intervention data in FastBridge via Edit Setup in order to see the intervention data on the Progress Monitoring Report.
Integration
Is the integration one-way or two-way?
The integration is one-way: from FastBridge to eduCLIMBER.
Why was this integration created? To whom is this feature available?
This integration eliminates the need for users to enter the same information in both FastBridge and eduCLIMBER. The feature is available to all districts that use both FastBridge and eduCLIMBER.
Is this feature only available for Reading and Math Progress Monitoring?
Yes, this feature is only applicable for Reading and Math Progress Monitoring. It is not available for Behavior Progress Monitoring.
Why doesn’t the frequency of Progress Monitoring transfer?
The frequency options in FastBridge do not quite align with the frequency options in eduCLIMBER, so users will need to enter their desired frequency in eduCLIMBER.
Will users in districts who have only FastBridge (not eduCLIMBER) see the Send to eduCLIMBER toggle in FastBridge? Will they be able to see the Dual Product Options modal in eduCLIMBER?
No, and no.
What happens if a user selects, “a setup hasn’t been created yet”?
A message appears directing the user to begin the setup process in FastBridge.
What happens if a user has permission for a student in FastBridge, but does not have permission for that student in eduCLIMBER?
In eduCLIMBER, users will only see the students to whom they have access. Users will see a warning sign if there are students to whom they do not have access, and may need to reach out to their administrator if they think they should have access.
