Understand EL Status and ELP Levels use within eduCLIMBER.
Overview
Organizations sending data related to EL Status from the Student Information System (SIS) are able to utilize EL Status features within the system. Organizations using DnA (Data and Assessment) and who are sending ELP Levels from DnA to eduCLIMBER are able to utilize ELP Levels within the system. Features within eduCLIMBER where this data can be used include:
- Filtering data within charts and data walls
- Filtering data within incident data
- Filtering students monitored within a Threshold
- Displaying EL Status and/or ELP Level within a smartFORM
Filtering Data within Charts and Data Walls
Access the Filters button on the District, Grade, or Class Tabs (as well as within Program Evaluation) to filter charts and data walls based on EL Status and/or ELP Level.
- Access the District, Grade, or Class Tabs (users with permission to Program Evaluation can also access that feature)
- Select Filters.
- Select Demographics.
- Choose to filter data returned in the search by EL Status, ELP Level, or both.
- Select Apply.
- Select Search.
Data returned in the search will be filtered on the identified criteria. All charts and data walls contained within the search are filtered on the EL Status and/or ELP Level selected.
Filtering Data within Incident Data
Access the Advanced Search within the Incident Summary Page to filter incident data by EL Status and/or ELP Level.
- Select Incidents in the left navigation menu (whistle icon).
- Select Advanced within the Search bar.
- Navigate to the last fields displayed to filter data on EL Status and/or ELP Level.
- Select Search.
Charted data, Data Walls, and Data Lists are filtered based on the criteria set within the filtered fields.
Filtering Students Monitored within a Threshold
Access the Filters tab within a created Threshold to have that Threshold monitor only students who meet the defined filters. Choose to filter based on EL Status and/or ELP Levels to have the Threshold monitor only students who meet the defined criteria.
- Within a created Threshold, access the Edit screen.
- Select Filters.
- Define the EL Status and/or ELP Levels (only students who meet the defined criteria will be monitored in the threshold).
After the threshold runs, only students who meet the filtered criteria as well as the parameters set within the threshold will display in the threshold results.
Displaying EL Status and/or ELP Level within a smartFORM
Users with permission to Create Forms Templates can choose to add smartFIELDS that will pre-populate with student data including data related to EL Status and/or ELP Level. Once the smartFIELDS are added to the template, data related to students (EL Status and/or ELP Level) autofills for the students assigned the form.
- Access a smartFORM Template.
- Add smartFIELDS of EL Status and/or ELP Level.
After the form is created, newly assigned forms (i.e. assigned after the template is built) autofill with data related to EL Status and ELP Level.
