This lesson guides Interventionists users though the process of closing out one school year to prepare for the next.
Set Accurate End Dates for Interventions
Interventionists should update the End Dates of Interventions to ensure the most accurate data for every student. Correct Intervention Dates and Student End Dates provide other users with information on the students and ensure the Rate of Improvement reports are accurately tracking student progress.
- Go to Interventions.
- Select View My Interventions.
Not sure which students need to have an Intervention End Date set? Go to the Classic Interface and access Academic or Behavior Interventions. Remove the User field and select Search to see data for all interventions and interventionists. Then, download the Export to see which students are missing an End Date on their intervention and review other students to check for accuracy.
- Select an Intervention Group and update the School Year and User fields as needed.
- Select the name of the Group on the left to see an Overview of the groups.
- Select the Schedules tab.
- Select the Pencil icon to update the End Date for the entire intervention.
- Set End Dates for individual students from the table.
- Go to Student Details to access individual student details. If the district uses Exit Status, the status can be updated from here.
Interventionists may want to provide a Comment about the intervention for individual students to provide the next teacher or interventionist context, recommended next steps, for follow-up notes to enable the intervention work to continue for the next school year.
Set Progress Monitoring End Dates
Interventionists should set Progress Monitoring End Dates to sure that students are being monitoring accurately. Students likely are not being monitoring after the end of the school year, so dates need to reflect this.
- Go to Interventions.
- Select View My Interventions.
- Select an Intervention Group and update the School Year and User fields as needed.
- Select the name of the student on the left to see the details for that student.
- Go to the Progress Monitoring tab.
- Select the three-dot menu within the chart.
- Select Modify Measure.
Update the End Date as needed and select Done.
