Attendance Data can be found when running a District, Grade, or Class tab search. This article guides users through accessing and navigating Attendance Data.
Accessing Attendance Data Charts
- Run a search from the District, Grade or Class tab.
- Use the filters to narrow down the student search. Attendance can be chosen as a Category.
- Select Search.
Visualize and Navigate Attendance Data as a Graph
- Chart view is selected by default.
- Select different tabs to view Attendance data by different student groups:
- By School - View attendance data by School.
- By Grade - View attendance data by Grade.
- By Weekday - View attendance data by Weekday.
- By Month - View attendance data by Month.
- By Ethnicity - View attendance data by Ethnicity.
- By Gender - View attendance data by Gender.
- By Student (Top 20) - View attendance data by the Top 20 student's with the most attendance events.
- Select the Lightbulb icon to view insights of the displayed graph.
- Select the Pin icon to pin the chart to a Collection.
- Select the Arrows icon to expand that graph
- Select the 3 dot icon to Print or Download the image.
- Select a point on the chart to drill down to view absent counts, student data lists, and additional line charts. Select View Absence Counts to open another screen that displays charts for that selected data point by various filters such as school, grade, weekday, month, ethnicity, gender, reason and excused. Select a bar within each chart filters the data further, with the pathway indicated in the lower left corner.
- Colored lines appear within the graph displaying:
- Full Day Attendance Rate - percentage of time a student is present for the entire day
- SIS Reported Attendance Rate - provided by a district's Student Information System and are imported via the Attendance file
- Period Attendance Rate - rate of periods missed (unless an "Excused" code is marked to not count against the full day rate. Periods will need to be configured prior to visualization. See Configure Attendance Periods for more details.
- Difference - If SIS Attendance Rate and Full Attendance Day Rate are available, eduCLIMBER will calculate the difference between these two scores.

Visualize and Navigate Attendance Data as a Datawall
- Select the Datawall tab to update the view.
- Attendance Data appears in the Datawall columns:
- DOB - Student's date of birth.
- Home Language - Student's Home Language.
- Ethnicity - Student's Ethnicity
- Gender - Student's Gender
- Attendance Days - Number of days the student attended school for any amount of time during the day.
- Full Days - Number of full days in attendance.
- Full Day Attendance Rate - percentage of time a student is present for the entire day
- SIS Reported Attendance Rate - provided by a district's Student Information System and are imported via the Attendance file
- Period Attendance Rate - rate of periods missed (unless an "Excused" code is marked to not count against the full day rate. Periods will need to be configured prior to visualization. See Configure Attendance Periods for more details.

- Use the checkboxes to select students to add a Tag to. (Optional)
