This lesson contains an overview for how Thresholds can be used in your eduCLIMBER system.
Where to Start
Thresholds allow districts to keep specific people/groups up to date on academic, behavioral, and attendance data in near real time.
Academics
Be alerted when students:
- Have multiple skill deficits
- Drop in primary score or secondary (detail) scores such as D’s/F’s
Behavior
Be alerted when students:
- Have a certain # of incidents occur within a date range
- Receive a specific response (suspensions) or a specific # of responses (3 detentions)
Attendance
Be alerted when students:
- Miss a certain number of days
- Miss a certain number of periods
- Attend at a certain rate
Actions include sending emails automatically, automatically applying tags, and automatically generating reports once the threshold has been met
TIP: Thresholds are powerful! They can alert staff beyond normal security permissions and without the need for running reports. Only allow specific people to configure thresholds.
