This lesson will guide you through using incident range charts within your eduCLIMBER system.
Where to Start
1. To begin searching and/or filtering incident data, click any of the fuchsia incident bars on the top left of your dashboard (it doesn’t matter which one you click - they will all take you to the same screen).
2. You will be brought to the incident screen that is filtered (by default) to the past 30 days of information.
Search Incidents
3. To customize your search and filter information, click the Search button in the left grey action menu.
4. This menu will allow you to set parameters to customize your search and/or filter your incidents. Complete all fields to your preference, and then click Search (the below image will show you only major incidents for 2015-2016).
Access Incident Range Charts
5. Now all of your incident charts are reflective of you specified parameters. When you are on the Big 5 tab on the grey left side menu, you can scroll to the bottom to see the incident ranges charts.
The top right chart will show you the percentage of students with:
- 0-1 incident
- 2-5 incidents
- 6+ incidents
The bottom left chart will show you the percentage of students with:
- 0 incidents
- 1 incident
- 2-5 incidents
- 6+ incidents
6. You can click any part of these charts to get a list of the students in that range.
7. You can organize this information by clicking the column headers. For example, if you wanted to organize the information by grade, click Gr once. You can also tag students on this screen and print the list.
Below are some example searches and what the “Incident Range” charts will show you:
Year | Tag | Incident Type | Information in “Incident Range Charts” |
---|---|---|---|
2016-2017 | None | Major | Click the green “0 incidents” part of the incident range chart to see students who have 0 majors for the whole school year |
2016-2017 | Behavior Tier 2 (Click the tag once to turn it red to exclude students receiving Tier 2 supports - this is an example tag you can have in your system - this tag is not in your system by default) | Major | Your incident range charts will show you the major incidents for the whole school year for students not receiving Tier 2 supports. This will help you identify students who may need to be referred for Tier 2 behavior supports |
