In this lesson, you will learn to create an Academic Intervention and add students to it from the Dashboard.
Where to Start
- Click Create on your dashboard.
- Click Intervention.
Select an Academic Intervention Type.
Adding Intervention Details
- Select the School the student(s) attends.
- Select the Category (i.e. literacy, math)/
- Type the Intervention Name - this name is displayed on the student page and within the intervention.
- Select the Intervention Level.
- Select the Intervention Strategy.
- Identify the interventionist.
- Click Next.
Intervention Frequency - Daily Schedule
- Identify the intervention Start Date.
- Identify the intervention End Date (note: ensure the end date matches the anticipated end date).
- Select the Schedule Type - Daily Schedule.
- Identify the days of the week the intervention will take place.
- Identify the Duration of the intervention.
- Click Next.
Intervention Frequency - Block Schedule
- Identify the intervention Start Date.
- Identify the intervention End Date (note: ensure the end date matches the anticipated end date).
- Select the Schedule Type - Block Schedule.
- Identify the number of Days On (A Day).
- Identify the number of Days Off.
- Identify the Duration of the intervention.
- Click Next.
Intervention Frequency - As Needed
- Identify the intervention Start Date.
- Identify the intervention End Date (note: ensure the end date matches the anticipated end date).
- Select the Schedule Type - As Needed.
- Identify the total number of sessions you will hold with the student(s).
- Identify the Duration of the intervention.
- Click Next.
Adding Students
- Click Add Student to add students to the intervention.
- Once a student is added, you can remove them by clicking the “x” to the right of their name - this will remove the student from the intervention.
- Click Next.
Adding a Probe
- The Start Sate will reflect from your initial Start Date on your intervention - adjust the Probe Start Date if needed.
- The End Date will reflect from your initial End Date on your intervention - ensure the End Date for your probe is the anticipated End Date rather than leaving this date at the end of the year (this is important for Goal ROI and On Track calculations).
- Identify the probe monitoring user.
- Identify the probe to be used to monitor progress.
- Identify if this selected probe is the Primary Probe (important if adding more than one probe to an intervention).
- Select the weekly schedule.
- Identify the day(s) of the week the probe will take place.
- Identify a goal for all students (only needed if a goal is not brought in to your system on a probe upload).
- Identify the grade level of the probe if using a different grade level probe from the grade level of the student.
Adding a Multiple Probes
- If adding multiple probes to an intervention, select the Add Secondary probe to continue adding probe information.
- You can view all probe details by selecting the tabs at the top of the window.
- Click Next.
Analysis Schedule
- Identify the Start Date you wish to receive an analysis schedule (emailed to the interventionist and monitoring user).
- Identify the End Date you wish the analysis schedule to stop emailing.
- Identify if you would like to set a weekly or monthly schedule.
- Select the weeks
- Identify the day of the week/month you want to be emailed.
- Click Save.
