This lesson contains an overview for using Thresholds in your eduCLIMBER system. Thresholds allow users to stay up to date on assessment, incident, and attendance data in near real time. Metrics are set to determine when users are notified about the status of a particular student or group of students.
Where to Start
Thresholds allow districts to keep specific people/groups up to date on academic, behavioral, and attendance data in near real time.
Academics
Be alerted when students:
- Have multi skill deficits
- Drop in primary score or secondary (detail) scores such as D’s/F’s
Behavior
Be alerted when students:
- Have a certain # of incidents occur within a date range
- Receive a specific response (suspensions) or a specific # of responses (3 detentions)
Attendance
Be alerted when students:
- Miss a certain number of days
- Miss a certain number of periods
- Attend at a certain rate
Actions include sending emails automatically, automatically applying tags, and automatically generating reports once the threshold has been met.
Thresholds are powerful! They can alert staff beyond normal security permissions and without the need for running reports. Only allow specific people to configure thresholds.
