Intervention Monitor scores can be accessed and entered from the Launchpad, and from a student's Progress Monitoring screen. Each method offers a slightly different experience, allowing users to manually enter scores by date or by student. This lesson walks through both methods for entering scores, along with the process to add and modify monitoring dates.
Monitoring scores only need to be manually entered if probe data is not being uploaded into the eduCLIMBER system.
Enter Monitoring Scores - By Date
The Enter Monitoring Scores option located on the eduCLIMBER Launchpad is best suited for entering scores by date. For example, an instructor looking to enter monitoring scores for the current date for multiple students and/or measures might prefer this method.
- Select Enter Monitoring Scores located in the Intervention Tools module on the Launchpad.
- The Date dropdown defaults to the current date. Select a Date to enter scores for, if different than the current date.
- (Optional) Select a specific Student and/or Measure. If one is not selected, all will be displayed.
- Double select the fields for the desired student and measure to enter a value for the Score, Errors, Accuracy, and/or Details. New data can be entered into empty boxes, and existing data can be edited.
- When a change has been made and that field is deselected, a Records Updated confirmation appears, indicating the data has been saved.
Add and Modify Dates
- To view Date options, select one or more checkboxes next to the desired row(s).
- Select Add Date to create another row for the selected student and measure for a new date, where scores can then be entered.
- Adding dates is not recommended from the Enter Monitoring Scores option, as only one date can display at a time. View the Progress Monitoring Enter Scores option below to see the preferred method for adding dates.
- A date can only be added for one row (one student, one date, one measure) at a time.
- Select Reschedule to change the date for the selected student(s) and measure(s), along with any entered score data.
- Select Delete to delete the selected row(s).
- Deleting a row will remove the score data fields for the selected student(s) and measure(s) for the selected date, and permanently deletes any score data that has been entered into those fields.
- Select Cancel to take no action, and deselect all checkboxes.
Progress Monitoring Enter Scores - By Student
Entering scores from the Interventions Progress Monitoring tab is best suited for entering scores over multiple dates for one student. For example, an instructor looking to enter a hand-written log of monitoring scores for one student over multiple dates might prefer this method. To learn how to access the Progress Monitoring tab, take a look at View Progress Monitoring Data.
- After accessing the Progress Monitoring graph for an intervention or monitor, select the 3-dot menu.
- Select Enter Scores.
- Double select the fields for the desired date and measure to enter a value for the Score, Errors, Accuracy, and/or Details. New data can be entered into empty boxes, and existing data can be edited.
- When a change has been made and that field is deselected, a Records Updated confirmation appears, indicating the data has been saved.
Add and Modify Dates
- To view Date options, select one or more checkboxes next to the desired row(s).
- Select Add Date to create another row for the selected measure for a new date, where scores can then be entered.
- Accessing scores through the Progress Monitoring graph is recommended for adding dates, as all the existing dates for a student and measure are visible.
- A date can only be added for one row (one student, one measure) at a time.
- Select Reschedule to change the date for the selected student and measure(s), along with any entered score data.
- Select Delete to delete the selected row(s).
- Deleting a row will remove the score data fields for the selected student and measure(s) for the selected date, and permanently deletes any score data that has been entered into those fields.
- Select Cancel to take no action, and deselect all checkboxes.
- Select Done to save all changes and close the window.
