This lesson walks through how to create new Intervention Strategies, and customize existing Intervention Strategies.
Required Permission: Manage Intervention Configuration
Where to Start
- Go to System Configuration.
Creating a New Strategy
- Select Interventions.
- Select Strategies.
- Select the + icon to add a new strategy.
- Select Monitored by Assessment (academic interventions) or Monitored by Point Sheet (behavior interventions).
- Select the arrow for the strategy that needs to be edited.
- Select Add to create a new strategy.
- Select the Show Inactive Strategies to include any deactivated strategies in this view.
Customizing Strategies
- Select the 3-dot menu to adjust the name and skill area of the strategy.
- Type into the text box to edit the description.
- Activate or deactivate a strategy by using the toggle button.
- Use the Restrict to Schools dropdown to lock the strategy to specific schools. If left blank, the strategy will be available for all schools.
- Use the Default smartFORM dropdown to add a smartFORM to this strategy. If a form is chosen, that smartFORM will automatically assign to all students who are added to the strategy.
- Select Procedures to add procedures to the intervention.
- Procedures are items monitored outside of the intervention, and outside of the skill identified within the intervention or progress monitoring.
- These procedures will be before the percent of the time they are achieved.
- Select Attachments to upload any attachments to the strategy. These will appear within the intervention interface.
