Create demographics to display key demographics for specific students.
Required Permission: Manage Student Data
Where to Start
While users with the permission Manage Demographic Codes can create demographics, those users with permission Manage Student Data can assign the demographic to students. Note that users with permission Manage Student Data will only be able to assign the demographic to students of which they have access.
- Access a Student Profile.
- Select Student Data in the left menu.
3. Select Demographic Fields.
4. Select Add Demographic.
5. Choose the Demographic from the list (the list is populated with all demographics that have been manually added as well as those that have been uploaded).
6. Identify the demographic value.
7. Select a school year for the demographic (note that the demographic will display for the selected school year). If a school year is left blank, then the demographic will be applied to all school years.
8. Identify an optional start and end date for the demographic.
9. Click Save.
10. Added demographics display under the student image if they are configured to display on the Student Profile. By default only one demographic displays. Click the + icon to display more demographics if more are added for the student. Click the - icon to hide the additional demographics.
Edit or Delete a Demographic Added to a Student
1. Access a Student Profile.
2. Select Student Data.
3. Select Demographic Fields.
4. Select the 3 Dot Menu next to any demographic to edit the existing demographic or to delete the existing demographic.
- Edit the Demographic - Any edits made will be updated automatically. If the demographic is from an uploaded file, the next time the file is uploaded, the demographic will be updated with the information on the file.
- Delete the Demographic - The demographic will be removed from the student's account in full.
