This lesson walks through how to create an extract file in Skyward with Absence Equivalent data, which can then be submitted to the eduCLIMBER Support team to import into your eC instance.
Where to Start
- Navigate to the export creation section in Skyward.
- Select the option to Create a New Export.
Create the Export File
- Select Attendance (By Date) as the Data Type.
- Set the desired ranges for the export.
- Select the Absence Types to include.
- Select the Main Export Fields relevant to the Absence Equivalent data to include in the export file.
To extract Absence Equivalent data from Skyward, the extracted file must include the following columns:
- Absent Days Equivalent
- Birthdate
- Date
- Ent (Entity)
- Other ID
- State Stu Num
- Student First Name
- Student Last Name
- Once all settings are configured, run the export to generate the data file.
- (Optional) If you opted to store the data in the database, review the export data by navigating to Export History, and selecting the relevant export entry.
- Note that the displayed data is a sample, and not live data.
Submit to Support
Once the extracted file has been created, submit a request to the eduCLIMBER Support team to complete the Skyward Absence Equivalent importer setup. The Support and Data teams will communicate via the submitted ticket to follow up on any further required steps.
