- Select a Threshold Grouping from the list.
- Select Edit at the top right of the Threshold, then select Edit from the dropdown.

Attendance Metrics
Based on Days
- Select if the metric is Based On Days. This option is recommended when looking at attendance over time, or within a specified range of dates.
- Select if the metric is Including 'SIS Reported Rate' or 'Full Days'.
- Full day is rate at which the student attends school without any absence or tardy events. Knowing how a student’s attendance events is affecting their learning. This is helpful to know what percent of the time (rate) or number of days (monitored count) the student is not getting all their instruction. Learn more about Full Day attendance rate here.
- SIS rate= rate calculated by the number of absent days as calculated by the SIS. This type of metric may be helpful for concerns regarding chronic absenteeism or to determine college and career readiness. It is recommended to use this option with “Clear Previous Result on Each Scheduled Run” within threshold configuration. It does not look at historical attendance data, but what the students' current attendance score value displays on their Student Profile. Learn more about configuring SIS rate here.
- Choose a Starting Day and End Day for the metric to be monitored.
- Identify the Statement that will be used to monitor the Threshold. Set a specific number of days in which the Threshold is observing. It can be set to Any or a specific number.
- Choose of the day period will be Monitored Count or Attendance Rate.
- Determine how it will be measured. Set a 'Greater than, Less than, Equal to, option, and then set the number of days.
- Make selections in the Reason List. If blank, all reasons will be monitored.
- Make selections in the Excused List. If blank, all options will be monitored.
- Make selections in the Status List. If blank, all statuses will be monitored.
- Select Save.
Based on Periods
- Select if the metric is Based On days or Periods. Based on Period only looks at number of periods missed. For example, a threshold based on period would provide how many times a student was marked tardy first semester for every class. Period configuration will need to be enabled and users can learn more about that here.
- Choose a Starting Day and End Day for the metric to be monitored.
- Identify the Statement that will be used to monitor the Threshold. Set a specific number of days in which the Threshold is observing. It can be set to Any or a specific number.
- Choose of the day period will be any or the same.
Based on Student Profile Attendance
The Based on Student Profile option will let users see the Full Date Rate or SIS Reported Rate that they see in other areas of the application, including the Student Profile. Based on Student Attendance Profile provides the current attendance rate if the district has toggled on “Enable Console SIS Calculation" under District & Schools > District Information. This toggle prevents that double counting for SIS rates when districts are using Console for attendance.
Use this option if tracking to see when students falls above or below a certain SIS Reported Rate or Full Day Attendance Rate within the school year.
- Set Based on to Student Profile Attendance.
- Set if Including should be SIS Reported Rate or Full Day.
- Identify the Statement that will be used to monitor the Threshold by making selections from the drop-down menus.
- Set the Number of days for the statement.
- Select Save.
