FastBridge Progress Monitoring Goals to eduCLIMBER - Questions
I am creating an intervention in eduCLIMBER, and I am adding a progress monitoring measure that is being used in FastBridge. Do I need to enter the goal from FastBridge into eduCLIMBER when I am creating the progress monitoring measure?
No, the goal will automatically populate so long as FastBridge data is automatically synced. These syncs typically happen every night.
When you are creating an intervention and adding a measure, the last section of progress monitoring setup in eduCLIMBER displays a table with the students added to the intervention along with an area to add a goal. If data for FastBridge progress monitoring is being automated, then the goal can be skipped. When the FastBridge file is sent to eduCLIMBER, the goal will automatically populate in the intervention/progress monitoring setup.
If FastBridge data is not automatically synced, then the goal will need to be entered to ensure a goal line is charted on the progress monitoring chart and accurate ROI is reported.
Our organization manually added the progress monitoring goal in eduCLIMBER. Since it was manually added, does the goal automatically update if we have our data automated from FastBridge?
No, since the import did not add the goal (the goal was manually added to eduCLIMBER), the import will NOT update the goal. If updates are needed to the goal, then the organization will need to manually make that update.
FastBridge recently made an update to the goal. What is the impact to goal data for customers that use eduCLIMBER?
- Determine if the goal was initially added from the FastBridge automation.
- If yes, the goal was added via automation:
- If the district transfers Progress Monitoring data from FastBridge to eduCLIMBER through a nightly sync, the goal data in eduCLIMBER reflects the data in FastBridge, but lags by about a day. Once the data is corrected in the FastBridge database, the corrected goals will be visible in eduCLIMBER the following day.
- If no, the goal was added via manual entry into eduCLIMBER:
- If the district transfers Progress Monitoring data from FastBridge to eduCLIMBER through a nightly sync, the goal data in eduCLIMBER will NOT reflect the data in FastBridge.
- If yes, the goal was added via automation:
What about clients who manually enter the goals into eduCLIMBER and do not have an automated sync from FastBridge? If goals are updated in FastBridge, will we need to update the goals for each student in eduCLIMBER?
In general, if clients manually enter their FastBridge goals into eduCLIMBER because they forego the automated sync, they will need to change the goals in eduCLIMBER manually.
When goals are manually entered, the automated goal does not overwrite the manually entered goal. This is purposefully designed so organizations can choose to add their own calculated goal into the system without the worry of having an automated file overwrite their calculated goal.
Our district manually entered goals into eduCLIMBER during the initial creation of the intervention/progress monitoring. However, we would like for them to be automated now. Can I change goals manually entered to now be automated?
Not at this time. Once a goal is created via manual entry, it cannot be changed to be automated. Moving forward, ensure goals are left blank for interventions linked to FastBridge monitors during intervention/progress monitoring creation to have the goal automated from the FastBridge file.
